Electric heating systems
Electrical energy can be used for water heating and space heating
With electrical energy, you can operate two different groups of heating devices. Electric water heaters, such as for kitchens or bathrooms, and electric heating systems, such as radiators for space heating.
Electric heating
Electric heating can be very useful as a supplement to other heating options or in certain types of spaces where central heating is not possible or desirable. It is useful for a summer home or a small office in a warehouse. Electric heaters include direct space heaters and storage electric heaters.
Electric water heaters
Instantaneous water heaters provide hot water instantly, so they are very well suited for buildings and places without a central hot water supply. A sink where hot water is needed only once a day is the ideal place to use instantaneous water heaters.
Instantaneous water heaters do not require special maintenance, thanks to the use of an uninsulated spiral as a heating element. Using this principle, the heating elements in the water flow slightly vibrate, due to which the limescale peels off.
The operating costs for such a device depend on the cost of electricity. It may make sense to consider other solutions with lower operating costs. Talk to your local Vaillant expert to make the right decision for your needs.
Direct Heating Appliances
Direct heaters provide instant heat to the heated room. They are suitable for rooms that are not frequently used but need to be heated quickly (eg cellars or garages). They are inexpensive and usually require minimal installation work. Unlike gas appliances, they do not need to be checked regularly. These easy-to-maintain appliances are especially well suited for heating during periods of temporary cooling.Direct heaters include radiators, convectors, electric radiant heaters and fan heaters.
